About the Author
Ornella Lavender
Raised between Carinthia and Slovenia, Ornella Lavender studied Slavic Studies in Graz and Ljubljana, graduating with a Master of Philosophy degree. After the birth of her children, she discovered a second calling and trained as a registered nurse, including work at the Department of Pediatrics at University Hospital Graz.
Yet her love for language and Slovenian culture has always remained her guiding compass. Today, she brings together all of her life experiences in her books – stories filled with warmth, magic, and a deep connection between two worlds.
